Get a good angle on this one and be calm in your approach. The worst thing to happen would be you go at this without the proper concern for the risk of injury associated with this exercise if you do not take the entire exercise seriously. Think of basically opening the chest and closing the chest. Don't go too heavy until you have practiced without weights and feel comfortable. Obviously don't go to heavy but open the chest as you pull the dumbbells apart from each other. The sucky thing about this exercise is that if you choose to workout in a circuit and leave your station then gym scum can steal your weights or even your bench. Inhale on the expansion and exhale as you bring the weights closer. This is a fly, a chest exercise, so use your chest. Enjoy. jd |
